EL TORRENT:

 Very old cottage, built in different phases. It is firstly documented inpapers from the 12th century, 

where it is named “Mansus Torrent Ros”. Ithas been inhabited for peasants who lived there to work

 on the vineyard,pastures and wheat and barley cultivation. It is told that the spanish

king Alphonso XIII stopped shortly in this area in the beginning of last century.

 Actually restored, it maintains the best of its character. A part of thehouse has changed in an 

independent rural accomodation that has at itsdisposal central heating, fireplace, kitchen 

( equipped with microwaveoven, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, and a lot of cooking utensils), a

big living-dining room, two double and two triple rooms (10 hostelvacancies in total), two bathrooms 

(one of them with hydromassagebathtub), TV and internet connection.

 SANT CLIMENÇ

 We’ll be passing through Sant Climenç: a little village of 22 stone housesin 3 km before arriving to 

El Torrent. We can visit in this village "lavila-closa" ( in catalan "the closed-village"), the church with a

romanesque bell tower, a typical restaurant... We can also practice some sports in the municipal sports

 centre ( with ball court, basket and football pitch...)

 SOLSONA

 A town, the capital of Solsonès county, inhabited from neolithic period,at about 3000 bC. 

The actual town has its origin in the 10th century. Ithas an old city centre, with little streets and stone 

squares and singularbuildings, as the gothic cathedral with a romanesque bell tower and abaroque 

altarpiece and, between other important buildings the city hall,from 16th century. We can find there i

nteresting museums like the "Museu Diocesà i Comarcal" (Diocesan and Regional Museum), 

with importantworks of art, or the "Museu del ganivet i eines de tall" ( museum of knifes and cutting tools).

 The old part of Solsona keeps same structure from the period in which wassurrounded by the wall and has

 three old main doors: Llobera door, theBridge door and the Castle door.  It also preserves a lot of ancient

parts, like "El pou de Gel" ( the "ice well"), where the ice was stored in

order to last all the year)  that can be visited.

The Solsona surroundings have a lot of tourist places like “Mare de laFont" Park, "El Castellvell" 

( The old castle),el Pont de la frau ( The canyon bridge), etc... You can find more information in
